Technically Jesus was born in the Roman Empire, but they didn't really have flags back then...

Shouldn't Santa's flag be either Russia or Canada? Maybe US if he's in the bit of the arctic circle that's Alaska territory?

Well, he also has roots in Turkey, Germany, Sweden, Finland and many, many more places. Santa's kind of all over the northern hemisphere.

Actually, Canada does in fact claim the North Pole, so I guess St. Nick should have a Canadian flag.

Since Nick is a Christian saint, the Gee Man must've really done something to piss him off. Or maybe this is a charity match.

I think it's a fight for Christmas. In some places people say that it's Jesus that gives the presents, but of late the more american version of Santa has been replacing this...
Also, one of Saint Nicholas "miracles" was to smack a Bishop.
    "Smack the Bishop"... sounds naughty...

A lot of countries claim the north pole, but under international law no one actually owns the seas there. So the UN flag is probably supposed to represent its status as international waters.

Since Christmas, like all year's end holidays, has been accepted by more and more countries over the years, I think it is valid that Saint Nicolas can be represented by the U.N. flag.

It isn't a matter of who follows him and accepts him, its a matter of whose territory his home exists in, whose workplace safety laws and employee legal protections the Elves are subject to, whose army is obliged to help him if something untoward happens, and who he pays taxes to.

Although, as a strictly not-for-profit entity engaged in gift-giving as a business, he probably doesn't actually pay anything, but I'm sure he still has to file the relevant paperwork with somebody.
