    きょうのもみじ

    初めての方はじめまして。いつもの方は春ですよー。しかし未だ雪の残る北国在住でございます。
    　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　今回は初めて描く椛さん。耳があったり無かったり、射命丸文と仲が良かったり悪かったり、描き手によって様々な要素のある人気の娘ですね。個人的には耳アリ、文とは仲悪く、性格は真面目な感じが好き。なんかこう、真面目な娘が振り回されるという構図が好きなものでしてｗｗｗ　好きな娘はイジメるに限りますｗ

    As ZUN describes,

    Thoughtography is like telegnosis except you can take pictures with it. You enter keywords that come to mind and related items will come up, like with Mr. Google.

    I don't know if his second sentence before the comma should be taken literally, but she's her own Google. Using her phone, she searches for something and it comes up. This would usually be an existing article or picture that she can steal for her own use. She's basically a blogger. So far that's her limit / is all she uses her ability for so I don't know if she can actually do more with it.

    Presumably, at least in this scenario, since Aya still had taken the picture even though she deleted it by taking out the unprocessed film, the fact that the picture still existed at one point or another means that it was available for Hatate to access with her spirit camera.

    It is not limited to existing pictures, but she needs to know what she is searching for (which still makes he a blogger commenting on current news). There was an article on SoPM where she had heard about strange UFO landing on the mountain but when she took a picture of it, the 'UFO' was revealed to be Nue so at least in some cases it can be better than real pictures.
