She lost. Hard. Got only 18%. Japan makes up 18% of the GameFAQs userbase. Remember that now.
EDIT:
In the recent GameFAQs tourney I'm going to make a few rules:
The winner must be a Nintendo or Final Fantasy character. No exceptions.
No Touhou character shall win.
A Final Fantasy character may only be defeated by a Nintendo character, or another Final Fantasy character.
Each rule violation shall result in one strike. Violating the first rule will result in four strikes. If six strikes are reached, the Megaupload servers will be formatted, Obama will be overthrown by EA and the vacuum of the universe will unfalsify itself.
And yes, Cirno defeating Tifa counts as two rules violations
...Do they have Final Fantasy conventions in Japan? That are even bigger than the Touhou conventions? Because Russia and Indonesia were the only significant Reimu majorities. There were still six rules violations anyway, so the universe will end, and that's that. Assuming we survive, the next Character Battle should exclude all Final Fantasy characters... 27 is as overkill as killing a level 1 Combee with Rollout from a level 100 Defense-Curl-Power-Trick Shuckle.
(Strangely, no one in Algeria voted for Barret...)

FF still has more public recognition and selling power in Japan than Touhou.
