Is "fanzine" supposed to be a translation of "doujin"? Wouldn't it make more sense to leave it as "doujin," since everyone here likely knows what it means?

It makes equal sense among those who know what it means, but I honestly prefer as thorough a translation as possible, minimizing Japanese terminology if reasonable equivalents exist. (There are plenty of obvious exceptions.)

Tartar sauce basically is mayo, just with relish thrown in.

Well, some dont like the taste of tartar sauce and prefer just mayonnaise
