Is there a in-game reason why Akagi is considered a glutton? Is she resource heavy, or prone to damage?

Actually, all the aircraft carriers eat up a lot of resources, but I don't really know why she is the only one depicted as a glutton. I've always thought because she was the easiest one to get (through quests), but that, itself, doesn't make much sense.

Because you can get her early in the game, some newer admirals will get her before they get an adequate stock of her favourite Bauxite which she will blow her way through quite quickly when she resupplies.

AFAIK: there was a bug early in the game where if you sortied Akagi and she took any losses from a plane slot you had to replace the entire slot's worth of planes, quickly draining all of your bauxite.

It happened with every carrier, but Akagi was the only carrier available at the time since most others didn't have a map to drop yet
