He's the hero version of Onsoku no Sonic, or at least that was the joke in the first scene where he had any significant role. He has a silly redundant name and he's vain about the speed of his sword to the point of losing sight of his mission and challenging anyone "fast" he meets. He didn't get hit below the belt like Sonic, though.
