    Given that ZUN drank over 1000 bottles, and had two opponents who are basically equal in drinking ability, are the "1793 bottles of red wine" the (near) total amount of bottles emptied, or is 1793 the year on the bottles of wine? Age is a measure of an alcohol's quality, and the comment is ambiguous in that regard.

    Thankfully, the original Japanese holds no ambiguity. That's the number of bottles. for once, Japanese counters are actually helpful
