    I'm guessing it's because Lyrica is red, Lunasa is yellow and Merlin is blue (yeah, they have other colors but those are flashier and stand out the most). Hence, green which is the last "primary" color.
    It's caught on with pretty much everyone in the fandom, anyway.

    Finland and Soviet Union had engaged in two wars in 20th century.

    Winter War: 30 November 1939 – 13 March 1940

    Continuation War: 25 June 1941 – 19 September 1944
