I don't think they necessarily correlate directly from American classes. The Japanese were fighting European powers for control of Southeast Asia for a couple years before Pearl Harbor got America *officially* involved in the war. Seaport Hime is Australian, after all, and Armored Carrier Oni/Princess would have to be British, since America didn't have an armored carrier until the Midway class was launched just after the war.
