I heard at the end that pistol was very weak and many people unfortunately survived shooting them selves with it
I heard it was because the bullets were poorly manufactured near the end and so it didn't quite have the stated penetrative power it should have. So many officers first did seppuku and then attempted to put bullet through their head.
In any case, one of those failures who survived shooting themselves was Tojo.
