Maybe because they are not in the ring of fire so they tend not to get Earthquake very often like we Asia do. But Germany do have Earthquake sometimes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earthquakes_in_Germany

Yup. And the most stupid thing, we put our nuclear waste right in an earthquake zone. So much for German brilliance. If Goethe were alive today, he'd do the Werther.
