I'm a bit late, but here's my 2 pence. You're either thinking of HMS Rodney, 2nd of the Nelson-class Battleships and alongside her sister one of the 'Big 7' battleships, or HMS King George V, a ship I know a lot less about. How they sunk the Bismark could be described as 'liberally peppering her at point blank range'. Well, Rodney went in point blank in any case and scored a successful torpedo hit, the only case in history of a battleship-to-battleship torpedo hit.
I imagine Rodney would be the type to attack the enemy at close range and to always aim for overkill. And of course Bismark would always go into bsod mode whenever Rodney's even mentioned. I picture her as being even more ripped than Nagato/Mutsu and preferring to punch her enemies into submission.

Oh I can just imagine Bismarck transform from a tough girl to a broken girl within seconds of hearing Rodney's arrival.
