Probably it was July 25, 1945, when aircraft from USS Yorktown CV-10 skipped bomb the Harbor at Maizuru, Sakawa wasn't damaged during the attack. The thing is that Sakazaki interpret those aircraft as B-29s(?), well B-29s did attacked the mainland during the final stages of the war.
And Sakawa's 15cm/50 cal. 41st Year Type cannons range is 8,000 meters in 55 degrees anti-aircraft ceiling angle, which cannot reach B-29 bombers that has a maximum ceiling rate of 9,710 meters.
Which mission is that ? Sakawa's training is dated January 15th 1945, but the last allied air raid on Japan is dated January 6th

Probably late, but the last flying B-29 visited Seattle on June 16-18 (yes, it ends yesterday). The photo linked up there are crew and B-29 veteran captains. His Flickr account has more photo of Fifi and the show And no, the photo is not mine.
