She prides herself on her English Curry, which is totally different. (And, provided she makes it properly, is fantastic, and much better, IMHO, than Japanese-style curry.) The negative reactions I've seen to Kongou's curry have been regarding not liking the difference between the Japanese curry that the characters are used to, and English curry. (Japanese curry is more of a thick spiced gravy on top of vegetables and rice.)

It's Hiei that has notorious curry. (In their time declarations, the girls that have the voices for time declarations all talk about cooking at 1800. The admiral runs from Hiei's cooking (to Kongou, no less,) while the admiral merely has problems with Kongou's cooking eating food meant for a fork with chopsticks.)

(EDIT: Although given how this admiral behaves around foreign things, he may still find that objectionable to a degree.)

Rather, not a lot of non-lolis save Kongou have appeared at all in this strip. You can say that the Admiral doesn't have much in the way of choices ^,^

This strip focuses on the "foreign girls" (except for Error), so maybe Bismarck, or at least Hachi, will show up next? Until some other foreign ships make an appearance, (or Max gets more of a role,) they're the only ones left to keep the gag going.
