Isokaze and Yukikaze both took part in Operation Ten-Go, the final suicidal sortie of Yamato towards Okinawa in April 1945. Damaged by carrier-based aircraft and with her steering knocked out, Isokaze was abandoned and scuttled by gunfire from Yukikaze after picking up 285 survivors.
