My first impression of this before reading was that airfield hime was leaning to one side, almost akin to a cat with it's whiskers recently cut on one side, seemingly off balance.
Personally,the biggest problem I had with event maps is trying to get to boss node.My girls can rip any boss to shred as long as they could get there with functioning guns.
The combined fleet node only have air strikes,which the entire ComFleet can help shoot down,so the already not that strong air strikes damage get reduced to a little more than scratches,& you have 2 fleets to attack the same boss fleet,practically guaranteed to wipe those annoying small fry away for a night date with just the boss & your 2nd fleet.
Hikoujou is too cute here. I wish we would see more of her, but it's mostly Hoppo & Wanko for now.
Now that you guys mentioned about the event. The problem in E-2 for me is all the pre-boss nodes, especially the Wo-class in the first node. Every time I got to Hoppo-chan, my Hiei and Kongou just destroyed her in 2 shot at night battle. As for E-4, it's kinda hard to take down Midway Princess due to her immense amount of armor (180 if I remember correctly), even with Sanshiki, it's still not easy (all depending on RNG's mood).
Also, I have a feeling that my fleet tend to miss a lot of shot on the boss more than usual (not on the smaller enemies though), maybe just my luck.
Anyway, it took me like 4-5 tries with support expedition before my Kako finally wake up and blow Midway Princess (final form) apart at night battle.

That's usually how boss maps go honestly. It's a battle of attrition. and AL the maps actually are pretty close to what you're supposed to do. The 1st fleet is honestly the "Escort" fleet, you take practically an entire fleet of carriers for anti-air.
If you could go to the boss node on the first try, there wouldn't be anything to worry about. The whole point is just to survive getting to the boss in the first place. While being forced to exhaust your ammo/fuel/bauxite/planes.
This is further pointed in that you can get a C/D rank in maps but still be allowed to move foward through the nodes. You don't need to kill (s rank) the previous random mob nodes, you just need to survive. Alot of players would gladly take D ranks in all the previous nodes if it ment getting to the boss node with full hp. It sucks when you get to the boss node and 2 of your girls are already at moderate damage.
