Looks OK to me, though I don't think the girl is Maya, since she's not wearing Maya's typical outfit.

Knowing Sage's obsession with pairings between huge, scary but awkward guys and much smaller girls, this is the least surprising fanart I've ever seen. It's like the Krieg trailer was made for him.

Okay, I've been playing Borderlands 2 a lot recently. The reason why Maya and Krieg don't look they way they do in trailers and such is because the game has an appearance customization system, though it's limited to changing heads and palette swaps.

Although I don't use this head version, I do use that palette on Maya.
