Well, her whole design is basically, "Add more torpedoes! Then, throw away armor and guns and add EVEN MORE TORPEDOES!"
There's armor-tanking (pile on so much armor it becomes impossible to destroy you), there's speed-tanking (move fast enough to become impossible to hit), and then there's DPS-tanking: kill the other guy before he even has a chance to fire at you.
Of course, given KanColle's turn-based combat, I'm not sure it's actually damage per second...
You may not be able to alpha him off the field, but still be able to out-damage him fast enough. Say, Confessor with melee ammo, or just plain old Vindicator with Void (versus, say, a Machariel at point blank range, or let's go lower, most Battlecruisers or Cruisers).
And I also left out shield-tanking (no shields in KanColle), or sig-tanking (no signature radii either), or jam-tanking (Falcon, I'm looking at you), or spider-tanking (no repair ships).
Now I'm imagining a Kancolle 4-koma where the Admiral is always absent from the office, never spends furniture coins, communicates with a FTL communicator, tries to get the destroyers to put on the dropsuit gauntlets that calls in orbital strikes via said communicator and is a Capsuleer.

If I were a capsuleer TTK, i would give my ships cloning facilities so that they just wake up back at base when they are sunk.
I did not intend to hijack this page with EVE, but oh well...
Now that I think of it, there's a disturbing lack of shipgirls in EVE. There are a few of them here (Punisher, Rifter, Kestrel, notably a GolemRaven and an Abbadon), and one guy did the T3 Strategic Cruisers as regular girls on Deviantart, and that's practically it. One guy, from TEST I think, did Slasher-chan, but after he received quite some flak for Ibis-chan, he stopped doing them and took both offline.

There used to be an anime-style comic as well. This Raven arrived not long ago.

I will probably just tell them to take the fleet warp, stay aligned and primary the Wo-class carrier, then amuse myself with the confused responses.
And probably also trick Shimakaze into wearing the gauntlet and activate the beacon right on top of the Abyssal, then take many pictures of her horrified face when the sea becomes literally boiling and the Abyssals melted due to plasma fire from a Catalyst in orbit.
Also, if I recall, there's a series about Dust 514 in Kotoba Noriaki's pixiv page.

I just went through his entire Pixiv profile, looking for it, but I found nothing. If you can get me a link to it, I'll gladly upload it here.
My Vindicator is named ζ¦ε, and would like to have an intimate word with you.
Intimate is right; about the only way a Vindicator is going to match a Mach for DPS is with blasters. Can your ζ¦ε even get close enough to my δΈηͺγε§«ζ§ to hold a decent conversation?

Considering few people ever take their shiny boats off a station undock, the likelihood is high.
But why would you ever point-blank with a Mach? BS ACs have pretty good range, y'know. Unless you meant "10-50km" as "point-blank".
The Mach was the target, I'd be sitting in the Vindicator, so the decision to close in is mine in the example. Vindi-webs, and that Mach isn't going anywhere soon.
You're making Akashi cry!
I didn't know she existed, actually. But still, her repair powers are only effective if she's the flagship, meaning she can't spider-tank.

I had a Tengu named ζ€η¬θ΅°. Emphasis on the past tense, as I dove headfirst into an L4 and didn't pay enough attention...
Machariel-chan would be my waifu. Faster than Zekamashi, moar deeps than Yamato. 46cm triples? 800mm autocannons are Macha-chan's close-quarters kit!
Mai waifu is a Breacher-class Frigate. We go on long roams in low-sec and have an exciting time launching rockets at anything that is neither blue, green nor purple.

Before KanColle existed, my tradition was similar, though I used the romanizations due to being used to the tags here (the outlier in that list came from here too). I've been interested in WWII ships (and aircraft) since my preteens but never thought to name my space submarines after them until girl-versions existed. Funny how the mind works, huh?

I was thinking of skilling up for an Ishtar, just so I can name one Alice.
That aside, there are probably a fair number of Touhou-related character names in EVE too: I met a guy on a roam named "ReimusHusband". And now that KanColle is starting to be a thing, I expect to see a lot more references on Dscan and Local too.

Where did you find all these capsuleers? I only once encountered one fellow whose ship was named after Suika Ibuki.

I saw ReimusHusband in Jita IV-4 once, then once again in the Amarr FW space later than day, where I convinced our roam FC to leave the guy alone.
And now that I think about it, I have a friend whose character is "Jlust Orin", and he didn't know why I was laughing my ass off when I first saw the name.
