Caucasus over 9 years ago [hidden] I know it may sound odd in English, but isn't "私はもう沈みたい" more of a "I want to sink already"? 0 Reply Copy ID Copy Link

Demundo over 9 years ago [hidden] It's expressing desire. The case firechikara talked about should have て+みたい to means "try to do something" or a noun+みたい for "looks like something".The problem is with the last line. It literally means "Become happy" but I don't know if they use such grammar in English or not. 0 Reply Copy ID Copy Link
