I'm no fashion expert but I guess it's for the purpose of exposing a part of your chest, making people look there in many ways I can't really list, and blah, blah. In short, it serves 2 main purposes, 1: Through showing a bit of your body, make you look more desirable, 2: Satisfy the eyes of men.

For easier phone/small item storage, of course.

THat post can mean "Satisfy the eyes" too. But really though, I didn't even think of paizuri. How could I have missed that?
