Fusou and Yamashiro are beauties. One reason why I kept them iin my main fleet even before their kai ni.

She looks like Hieda no Akyuu...

I would love it if we can see how Yamashiro and the Admiral got together in this. I really found her to be adorable here.

I mean, we've seen some Kaga and Shoukaku scenes with their pilots, why not some of this too, right?

IMO their Kai Ni are also beautiful if they are drawn to the proper body proportions.

To my eyes, neither the originals or the remodels look quite right. I quite like Yamashiro but I'm not very satisfied with the artist's CGs...I remember being slightly disappointed when the Kai Nis were first posted, in that there seemingly hadn't been much improvement in the overall quality.

Agreed. Her looks are great but besides that, her sister complex is really abusive even in her quotes. I hate that overwhelming siscon personnality (Chiyoda too, and moreover she doesn't have the nice looks of Yamashiro). It's a total turn-off for me.
the Married line with saying that she's only for Fusou is just... "Hello you're gotten a bad marriage" XD
But it's my personal opinion. And sometimes I find a siscon extreme Yamashiro also funny, like in post #1629854 or post #1629858

Same. While I still prefer the before-kai, since god those proportions(but their clothes are really good with those added details)...
I love their calm aura and their designs, but am not satisfied with the original artworks... Dunno, they seem a bit "dull" in the coloring, even worst with the kai2 where they feel more matte plastic than human (maybe because of the hair). And yeah, not much improvement.
Luckily, there are some nice fanarts out there.

Yamashiro is also paired with Shigure :)

Yeah, she's the type who looks better only after the original design is polished by other artists.
Although I'm sure there will be peoples who believe the original designer's style is less mainstream and have more characters in it.

Her Kai Ni secretary lines are quite nice towards the admiral (even though she maintains the siscon-ness).

And her beauty, so for those reasons, I married her.
