On the commentary translation: 短 is usually short so I translated it that way first, but after watching the ep (Idolm@aster Cinderella Girls 9, about 12:10), you get a much higher (and to the left) view where you don't really see any skin at all, so think he's complaining that the camera view wasn't 'shorter'.
Edit: Okay, after the next one he did, post #1958729, I'm pretty sure that's right.
