My guess is that Re-class had an injury and her tail cut down during war.

Must be why Zuikaku looks afraid/surprised when she looks Re-class' back and sing that cute spell to appease the pain~.

Or maybe, she's surprised that there's no tail either.

Better amputation than that. Imagine the magnitude of haemorrhoid after having the tail removed if it is attached that way. Might even explain why she is having an appointment with Akashi.

Re-class is still as mischievous as always. Only with no tail.

EDIT : Note how loli!Zui is not looking at Re's arse but rather her back and how the artist does not want to reveal Re's back to us.

I didn't really notice it before, but now that I read it again, Re was bandaged on her belly on earlier pages, so it kinda implies she's amputated.

Also, Kaga really have a strong pair of legs, isn't she? Having Zuikaku hanging not on her lower leg, but on the thigh. A little kid do that to me once, and that give quite a lot of weight on my knee that I can't keep my balance.
