Normally I only subscribe to the tactical moe stuff, but I have gotten pretty fond of these kind of images. From an engineering perspective, it kind of makes you think about why things are built as they are, and why they could or could not be another way. Backward magazine for example, what if cartridges (such as caseless) were tapered in the opposite direction? (So fouling from the powder and binding compound ejects forward not just through the barrel or an ejection port)
That helm must be quite the hardware since it very well may have everything from ammo count in the rifle, the magazines left, NV/IR and possibly sniper detection.
