Reusing bath water as a whole is fucking disgusting. Fresh water is like, the purpose of modern plumbing. I can understand conserving water when recreational camping or military outpost, but even then it's just a rag, container of semi filtered water, and soap.

Generally a Japanese bath (verb) is not the same as a western one. As far as I know, the bath is for a post-washing soak, as you get clean and rinsed before getting in. It's basically just as disgusting as sharing a hottub with someone, except we don't tend to wash our bodies before getting in those.
