Is what? Aw come on! Don't hang us up like that.

Translation note is one from me and the other from Paracite. Well, I think it's more logical if it's Zuikaku since it's a verb sentence.

And really Paracite, I think you should really remember to tag it translated after you are done. Your notes are good enough to not need proof read already.

ACWO is the one who killed the admiral and Zuikako, isn't it?

Maybe it would sound better if you make it "Zuikaku is taking the form right now because..." ("you killed her", is what I guess the full sentence is)

I knew I forgot to do something. It's is quite late here, in my defence. That, and I usually go back and re-check the TL before switching to 'translated'.

(you sometimes see my notes with 10 revisions...)

I'm going to go with Zuikaku dying trying (and failing) to save Shoukaku for my guess, though. Hence not-Shoukaku has a kind of survivor's guilt.

    Dun Dun DUNNN!

Man, that button's going to get a lot of use if things keep up like this...

(Next up, Zuikaku is pregnant! But who's the "father"?!)

But more seriously, I'm guessing where this goes next has to do with the Admiral, and how his disappearing had something to do with the "emancipation" of abyssals. (Abyssal admiral, anyone?)

Besides, if Zuikaku can get along with Re, then there's no way she's not going to have a tearful happy reunion with ACWO.

I'm kinda lost. All that I get is that on the final moments of the war, Shoukaku and the original Zuikaku is still around, and they were separated because of different tasks on that Tokyo Express on earlier chapters.

The problem here is that if they were to sortie at a pretty close time, I find it hard to believe how Shoukaku was already becoming Abyssal when Zuikaku arrived, because it'd be a little bit too fast. Besides, Seaport did mention that the corrosion wasn't that much yet, so she's still the same Shoukaku inside, supposedly. So in my case, it's quite unlikely that Shoukaku was the one who make Zuikaku as she is now, which is why I'm lost.

Or it's something related to that message where they have to destroy it after reading, who knows.

It's stated in the letter that the final mission is to only take place if the Tokyo Express were to essentially fail.

Hence the Admiral, and by extension Shoukaku, would have been already sunk for a period of time before the final mission took place. As it is vague about the time frame, or rather, there is a lack of a time frame attached to said final mission actually starting; the actual mission may be from hours to days after the Tokyo Express was meant to return.

As far as the corrosion, well, it has not been stated anywhere the actual length of time for the full corrosion to complete; it may be hours, it may be months etc. Again, as the scale of time is rather vague, there's no reason to believe that Shoukaku wasn't the one to make Zuikaku as she is now... if that's even the case to begin with.

let me see... i'll try rebuild the timeframe

    > Letter about secret mission Tokyo Express to Shoukaku and Zuikaku

    > from how the letter and chat indicated, seems like shoukaku and zuikaku both go on different time on same mission with zuikaku first to go?

    > Zuikaku probably are on the support sortie expedition, while shoukaku and admiral on the main fleet

    > shoukaku depart, defeated, sunk (along with admiral?) by seaport hime's fleet

    > Zuikaku met Shoukaku and somethin happen

    > Zuikaku became small with memories intact. while shoukaku as aircraft carrier oni

    my wild guess :

means Zuikaku and Shoukaku met on the mission, Shoukaku did something to keep Zuikaku alive from enemy attack, (probably a back home escort by a destroyer for sever damage ship)
