Oh wow, Remi is PISSED...all because Yukari just wouldn't be bothered to figure them out because they could be a threat, and had Ran beat up Meiling in the beginning under her orders.

To be fair, Ran tried to get through Meiling and speak to Remi; it only became violent when Meiling forced it to become a fight. And Remi ran around indiscriminately murdering weaker youkai.

Still a little miffed seeing Meiling hold her own/outsmart Ran and Flan/Remi destroying Yukari's army. Then again; Yukari and the Tengu haven't played their hand seriously yet. Probably has something to do with waiting for Reimu to resolve the incident to institute spellcard rules after.

Well, this would break the "canon feeling" it had until now, as it is known that Remilia and co. were defeated by youkai, not Reimu or another shrine maiden (was Reimu even born when Remilia came to Gensokyo?).

Well Ran and Yukari have been, and typically are, portrayed as rather arrogant, so I can see why they've been outfoxed. To be honest, I kinda like to see them get knocked down a peg (partially in part to the arrogance).
