I don't know. Kaga is defiantly obsessed with Akagi in this series, but here she is willing to leave Akagi to talk to Zuikaku, and she did refer to her as her cute kouhai in an earlier strip. Maybe there is still a chance.

Isn't it more like Zuikaku's misunderstanding (in this series). Kaga's reaction is more or less normal around someone from the same division (and one of the person she teaches to make that bunny too, nonetheless).

A sisterly feelings, I would say. Remember that Kaga was suppose to replace Amagi (the battlecruiser), who was Akagi's sister. So doesn't that make Kaga Akagi's step sister?
