It was all I ate while on "vacation" in China besides instant bowl noodles and a TGIFriday's dinner. The people I was there with...weren't concerned with culture. But, it was either very cleanly fried or more likely baked. Very tasty compared to the US's greasebombs.

    Substitute for turkey, maybe?

IIRC (and I could well not be) it was a marketing ploy by KFC, saying that it was the thing to eat KFC at Christmas in America - and don't you want to be cool like Americans? They know all about this new-fangled Christmas thing, right?. Be like America. Eat KFC.

Not as bad as what they (read: Choco manufacturers) did to Valentine's.

(Not that it wasn't butchered by Chaucer fanboys first.)

The fact that most cultures have no qualms about eating chicken compared to beef or pork certainly helps.

    Hmmm
    I-I see...
Telling her that it's a day to eat... cake and KF〇... that would be A-OK!
    And... champagne, too!
Is it okay to tell her... what kind of day Christmas is...?
    Good question...
