Uh... but kerosene is a hydrocarbon fuel too, most gas turbines run off what's effectively kerosene after all.

Yeah, theres some finessing to do it safely over a long period, but its good in a pinch

Still seems like a bad idea, I mean trying to run a diesel on petrol tends to end with a lot of maintenance and no distance gained and the one time I tried to run a diesel-optimized pulsejet on kerosene it didn't work that well.
