What a strange series. Is there an overall story or is it just a collection of 'psychotic abyssal admiral and his psychotic abyssal/corrupted fleet girls' short stories?

Strange but quite interesting since it's something totally new (for me).

There's no overall story (if by overall, you mean a proper beginning), just some short story but that might give us a clue at how things happened (maybe in the Admiral's Story).
