What I think is that since he spends almost the whole day in the Naval Base, the bulk of his clothes are actually there and when he goes for daytime outings with his girls it's actually to and from the base rather than his bachelor pad. He may not even keep any of his frequently used clothes in his apartment at all.

Actually, I wonder why he doesn't just sleep at the base.

I think that was more of a mental struggle between who she's actually sexual for.

Well... at least she's finally confessed, I remember earlier on, this Ooi was down about the admiral calling her cold and her being unable to say she liked him, although he will likely pretend that he was oblivious.

It should be understood as "Sorry that this is all I can offer you" which would be used when the person in question refused you going through some trouble you wouldn't want to either. Not that it's because of the translator or something. And of course I know it was there, I just knew a bit more than most people so I disregard it. That's why I said I had doubt of whether he'd take out something from his winterwears.
