I just can't stand this "gunmen-gangs-can't-touch-me-while-I-only-twist-arms" fake action hero.
It's interesting to note that Steven Seagal is an actual law enforcement officer IRL (reserve deputy officer to be exact), with a 7th degree black belt in aikido. I think he has enough cred.
He's a good martial artist I give him that. It's just his films that cross the absurd when you see 5 men with long range automatic weapons, in spaces as tight as a train car, get overwhelmed by a mere unarmed person at point blank who gets cocky in front of them and do things with his hands without receiving a single scratch. It's boring and really exaggerated. And that's saying something considering the nature of most action films.

Actually you might be like me, i dislike his acting part... his acting was...stiff.. that's how i simplify it, but his martial arts is effective, not flashy but effective.
And this image reminds me of one of his film, Under Siege..

I'm with you, any movie with him as the protagonist will ended up as he rekting the villain without he even looked like trying. Sometimes when I just wanna see gunning action he just used his fists and defeat the armed mooks easily. Even the final confrontation, the climax, he just made it anti-climatic. But he's fine if he's not starring the movie as main protagonist
We don't need to make a guess to see what will happen next... But of course, it will be fun.
You mean the suspicion he bribes villains off camera for an easy win without trying? I mean Chuck Norris (or any 90's hero for that matter) is more powerful and even he gets shot, stabbed and beaten up.
I'm joking of course, I'm stopping this nonsensical hate for a mere Hollywood actor. :P

Yeah right. He does had the skill, just look at those Wo's. That is enough "diplomacy" to make an enemy to fight on your behalf.
