Well, post #1905001 does mention that she was a dropship... and when combined with that post, it seems pretty likely that this is the case.

EDIT: Just looked at the previous strips, post #1899528 happens before Ikazuchi is introduced/posted at the base. So if we see an Ikazuchi in this flashback...

I suspect they flashback in post #1899528 is a memory of when she originally got sunk on May 14, 1944. The other post doesn't say WHEN Inazuma dropped, so she could've been a drop for Koharu's grandfather, and she ended up reassigned to Koharu when the latter joined the base.

The last sentence suggests that it's the same Inazuma, versus another ship who is coincidentally the same name and class. Seems Inazuma here was grandfather's shipgirl, and Koharu either doesn't remember, or she doesn't want to bring you the old days due to lingering shame.... just as her grandfather predicted.

It also seems like she lost her memories of before, so she doesn't remember what happened with Koharu's grandpa and how she met Koharu. So it's more than likely that Koharu remembers her but doesn't say anything, either because of shame or something else.

Keep in mind that when Kongou was posted/Hiei was found, they said, "I've never heard of two of the same ship in the same naval base before." That implies that there can be more than one of the same ship in different naval bases, so there probably is more than one Inazuma.

Koharu might remember Inazuma vaguely, but not recognize she's the same Inazuma.

Damn I am late to this. But to clarify it for some people, when that Inazuma sank, she said "Commander-san" and "Koharu-chan". That's because they weren't the same people as shown here. She called Koharu "chan" when she sank because she was still a little kid and not yet her commander. But that flashback was from the current Koharu's Inazuma which implies that it's the same Inazuma, but she just didn't remember the details to her previous life. Hope that makes the subtext more clear for people.
