btw, I've been keeping up with the other 2 but not with 35, are they consoling Ouka because of something that happened in the series? Or because her show is the least popular of the 3 despite having the most money put into it.

They're consoling her because 35th platoon is a mess and Ouka is worst girl.
Because of this image i started watching 35. Of the 3, it definitely has the best first episode (by a little). How bad could it possibly get?
It just feels really rushed, like suddenly they're on a mission when we're just getting introduced to the cast. It's one thing to drag on exposition, but how they're handling this isn't exactly any better.

Those two already consoling Ouka for the reason. It was the world where normal humans die in regular manner like, splat from anything from Hero Summon or crazy mage doing rituals. Luckier human can defeat those supernatural beings by contracting special artifact that ultimately feeds on their soul, and mages ACTUALLY doesn't want to kill normal humans; it's the human leaders that started it first; the attacks was from radical groups, while the rest of the mages lived in bubbled dimensions happily, fearing the normal humans. The one who started picking at the hornet's nest? Her adoptive father. The world she lived in is just that messed up.
They're comforting her because she's a filthy commoner!
This is probably true since
both Julis and Stella are foreign born princesses while Ouka is not.
Either that or
Julis and Stella have both been seen undressed by their love-interest main character when they first met him in the very first episode of each of their respective shows. Ouka has YET to be seen naked by her love interest MC. LOL!
