I think he said it in post #2161947, the cause is the TPP agreement.
I still don't understand what the Trans-pacific partnership have anything to do or what it mean. I'm so confused, even reading through what it mean.
Edit: Ah, it seems to be a type of internet police policy or something. Limiting access to information and increase censorship, etc, etc. Yeah, I can understand why Bkub and a bunch of other people might be mad. Seems to be another fucking SOPA deal. Fucking American Politicians and their power hungry need to have everything under their control over everything.

You can tell the supporters of the censorship are being compensated by the Hollywood faggots. No one benefits, not even the government from internet censorship except them. Someday I just wish someone would just financially kill our entertainment industry and let a new one take it's place. It's also a riot to hear them talk about copyrighting when a ton of gags or scenarios in their "new works" originated from earlier American or foreign works.

Technically speaking, television and movies are on the verge of dying because of the internet. Nowadays I rarely even hear people talk about watching tv save for a few shows and the desperate garbage some are shelling out is just fucking disgusting. Although there are still some that put effort and try to give good entertainment, most people just stream and netflix.
It's no wonder they're trying to do this internet police censorship tax bullshit. Greedy bastards.

Eh. Yes and no. This year set a new record for the most currently in production shows on TV, counting both broadcast and cable. That does result in diffused viewership and almost certainly diffused quality as well though. The smarter companies are trying to dig into that online space though so that as it emerges they aren't left behind. That's why you have Hulu - jointly owned by Fox, Disney (who owns ABC of course) and NBC - doubling down on offerings and CBS running their own online subscription service and trying to entice viewers by announcing the new Star Trek series is going to run there and not on TV.
None of which changes the fact that TPP is a total piece of shit that has been endorsed by lobby friendly sue groups like the MPAA and RIAA, was negotiated in secrecy, and isn't likely to do a damn thing good for anyone but the big copyright holders. And that's only the tiny, tiny tip in a big scary iceberg. TPP basically moves power from elected officials - that theoretically are responsible to their voting base - to un-elected regulatory officers, sets up private tribunals instead of using the normal court system, and trumps any other law or agreement that might countermand it's rule. This despite ample evidence that trade agreements don't actually work.
