Good for you, after reading the translation three times I'm still puzzled. I'm slow with jokes and everything, but still...

I just assumed that Akashi was expecting a flat rejection of her yurilicious advances instead of just being told OhYodo don't make soba noodles. It's kinda like indirect permission to continue (which, of course, always gets you into trouble).

'soba' also means next to. She'd rather be beside (/soba/) Ooyodo than have soba. It's a language pun. Yaaay.

The best I can think of is doing a riff of noodle and canoodle.

"can-noodle your ones". That was hard to understand until I read the Japanese. Well, I can't come up with a better pun though.

Reworded; more direct, but should be easier to understand.

Late response is a bit late, but "canoodle" is an actual word that MEANS "cuddle"; it's not a pun on "cuddle" or a fusion of "cuddle" and "noodle".
