Thank you very much. I couldn't appreciate more of your contribution, both upload and translation.

The feels hit right into my eyes. Thanks Shinhwalee for bringing this up so I ended up reading Akashi's one too.

All blame goes to their incompetent commanders.

They do have some brilliant tactical-level commanders (like Amatsukaze/Shigure/Yahagi's captain). The bigshots over at Imperial HQ and Hotel Yamato did suck, yes.

If we are talking about competent officers, then my pick would be Tanaka Raizo and Yamaguchi Tamon. Unfortunately (for the IJN) the later had fallen into disfavor with the high command and the later chose to go down with his ship.

    Don't forget about Isoroku Yamamoto.

IMO, wasn't midway's overly complicated plan cause the defeat at AL/MI? Isoroku IIRC was so fixated at McMohan's (maybe typo name) doctrine about the importance of a battleship hence the 4 carriers was at front which causes the heavy loss at midaway.

In other side, who's the best officers in the Allies? McArthur and Nimitz?

Depends on which theater of war you're asking. If it's Pacific then McArthur is the best.

Reading this makes me feel sorry for Hibiki, another survivor but is completely forgotten and become part of the USSR soil without anyone back in her homeland cares about her because they were too focus on Yukikaze.

As for Yamamoto, if he didn't die so early he would have represent the Japanese to surrender to the US. He may not be a good tactician but he had insight when he read the report about Pearl Harbor Attack, he knew it right away that Japan was definitely gonna lose the war.

    Excuse me?

He was obsessed about politics and pushed forces on New Guinea to attack frivolously. He was also involved in the Bonus Army affair.

MacArthur was no dumbass, but he was far more politically savvy than actual tactical genius.
