Well Shimakaze is the only ship in her class and Iowa is the only US ship in the fleet currently. I think it'd be nice to see them connect over that all adorable-like.

Really all the 5,500 and "10,000" ton cruisers are within margin of error of each other (Mogami might have been legitimately slightly faster... in a condition in which was utterly unfit for service, once remedied she lost any really measurable advantage), which is faster would depend on the day or even just which engineer was willing to push the engines a bit harder. Though none of the heavies were even close to their supposed trial speeds after all the modifications.
The light cruisers were slower too since they ended up ballasted as their original design proved somewhat lacking in stability, the fact that they were at the back half of their ideal service life of about 30 years by the start of the war certainly didn't help. Despite there supposed 35 knot speeds it was a constant compliant that they could not keep up with destroyers in reality with Sendai herself referred to explicitly as 'old and slow' by one officer. In reality the very best they could attain in WWII was probably about 32 knots and that probably only in the period following a recent overhaul.
A recent change from my understanding has made it so that regular members when they favorite an image it upvotes the image as well, as it would be for gold and above members.

That explain why many images posted in the last days broke the 30-35 mark when they barely made over 20 before.
