According to the order in the Pixiv batch, this was supposed to appear before the German kotatsu strip.

I think the "likes to cook" stereotype is showing. Or, looking at the context, Bismarck made them do it.

A good chef knows that the most important part of cooking is to keep the kitchen clean.

Eh, 大掃除 literally means 'big cleanup' - it's usually translated as 'Spring cleaning', which has become more of a phrase meaning a big cleanup, even it not in spring.

I believe he was asking about the pages' order.

We don't quite sort them by story timeline, we sort them by artist upload order or if they give out description of order (mostly when there's a revision/addition). You can check the artist's Pixiv by link on source yourself to be sure.

I might have an Italian soul... Every room in my flat looks like shit, but the kitchen is always in perfect state.

    Could just be the calendar.

Chinese New Year signed the coming of spring, and the day before new year is the big cleaning. The Chinese still have this tradition.
Japan switched to western calendar, but they still have the tradition of cleaning up before new year (now January 1st, not Chinese new year).

It's also how their seasonal festival could fall on day much different from Chinese despite celebrating more or less the same thing.
