The doll she´s holding is the main character of the german childrens TV show "Die Sendung mit der Maus" (The show with the mouse) which teaches children about the world since the early seventies i believe. Its similiar to the american show "How its made" but with short cartoons of the mouse depicted here serving as intermissions.
