I'll hold off until I get a hint on their evolutions. If the cat turns into a badass tiger, sure, I'll go back to my fire-type roots. The owl could end up cool, though.
I know the owl is adorable and all but look at that cat.
That cat look like don't give a damn 'bout nothin'. Just as a cat should. Looks like I'm taking the fire type starter once again.

I guess with the argument that the lion legendary would be fire/steel, the cat will be a kind of lynx or panther with fire/dark typing.

Litten is okay, i like him except the name - in last generation there was a Fire-type Cat pokemon (more specificaly, a lion) called Litleo, using LITERALY the same naming pattern is sad...
I don't see nothing special in Rowlet except typing. Sure, it's not a bad desing but also not the best one.
Plant/Flying, 4x weakness against Ice? Totally worth it.
In the normal game process, the types are so unimportant. At least they were in the former games since they were so easy. I hope for an hard mode at default.
