It would have cleared itself over a few hours given the normal action of the salivary glands.

Unless she went and got some leftover miso, had that, and then kissed him, I'd say he's imagining the salt even though he may have gotten a real kiss while asleep.

I once stayed up until 3 AM in my hotel room, forgot to unbolt the door before going to sleep.
My roommate showed up at 4 AM, then spent an hour with 6 security guys helping him break in so that he could sleep.
We had to get up at 6 the next morning.

As a side note I'd been going on 4 hours a night for 4 days by this point and he'd been on 5-6 a night.

He moved to room with his girlfriend later that day. For the rest of the week I got to be the sole occupant of my room, though I wouldn't try such a thing again for fear of getting ganked in my sleep by sheer rage.
