    混浴の公衆露天温泉なので、要水着着用です。
    40元で入れます。
    中は三段になってて、順番にぬるくなっていく感じですね。
    脇に水風呂もあります。
    人いっぱいでした。

    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 2007

As it's a public open-air bath with mixed bathing, swimsuits are required. You can get in for 40 yuan. Inside, it's in three tiers, and apparently in order of getting more tepid. They also have cold baths off to the side. The place was packed.

You need to hide your physical responses better, Kogasa-san. It's hard to surprise anyone when you're giving away the game~

    The survey takes the plunge:

Where shall we enter a bath?
    • Hakurei Shrine
    • Scarlet Devil Mansion
    • Chirei Hot Spring
    • Youkai Mountain
    • Cirno Hot Springs

Reader-added tags currently consist of "I wasn't peeping" and "Survey seems it'll freeze".

The mansion seems like a reasonable place to bathe.

I kind of want to visit all of them, even Cirno's. Because I'd say that, if hot springs can survive Cirno, they're the strongest.

I remember when I last went to Taiwan to see family going to this open-air hot spring-kind of place, almost exactly as Kogasa described.

...I think we went to the same place, but the place I went to had this massive warm central pool, instead of the tiered one Kogasa's talking about.

Really? 3 degrees would make that much of a difference?

I am surprised a little. From previous experience, women seem to handle higher water temperatures better than men. Or at least enjoy them better. Though 43 or 44 degrees seemed to be the limit.

It's because man have balls. It's also the reason why japanese males has problems with their fertility: higher temperature destroy sperm cells.

Also yes, even one degree (in Celcius) matters. Plus one degree from normal SURFACE body temperature is fever, minus one degree from normal body temperature can send you into chills. Submerging your body into hot liquid like this can actually bring your surface body temperature equal or higher than core body temperature, that in turn sends all kinds of wrong signals to your brain's temperature receptor; flushing like Kogasauthor did is the normal response to vent off some heat by vasodilating your blood vessels to act like heatsinks in order not to overheat. At the "Millennium Hot Spring" open-air baths...
.... How'd you figure it out?
It feels great over here, too.
    Hm?
    This bath feels so nice!
    Failure
    How couldn't we?!
