I would really prefer Lolicon over pedophile, because, you know, pedophile kind of suggest that the person might assault the target of affection while lolicon can simply be like little girls. Both specific and less uh, sick(?).

Be careful of terms like this, particularly if you ever visit Japan. If you're looking at Japan purely through the lens of anime/manga culture, lolicon seems like it's less "strong" as pedophile because in anime lolis seem much more tolerated (this is mostly because censorship laws are different than that of the US - in a strange way, Japan's press is actually more free than the US, for better and often for worse). However, pedophilia and crimes against children are a social issue in Japan, just like elsewhere, larger society does not approve of it. Being called a lolicon in Japan is a serious thing - as serious as being called a pedophile in the US.

Ah you're right for anime/mangga fans lolicon does sound lees impact than pedophile(though they actually have same meaning),TBH when i translate this post i was hesitant to choose between lolicon or pedophile.

Of course I know what it means in Japan. But you see, the rest of the world (or pretty much of it) takes the word lolicon much lighter than pedophile/pedophilia/etc. That is because it is now a part of a certain culture and also because it's not that well known out of that culture. Besides, the image of a lolicon is usually portrayed, as you say, much better than what the image of a pedophile is, making it sound less severe? I don't know.
But then again, "lolita complex" in real life is quite large a field than pedophilia. It can be just about thinking of little girls as cute (and that's it) to so much assault them. And in that, taking liking towards girls with small figures, but of course, at legal age (not necessarily to the point of assault them). Well, Japanese has quite small built to begin with. They only fixed that these last few 20~30 years. That makes "lolicon" not necessarily a crime/sickness though still do gross some people out.
And there you have it. As Izumi Soujirou (Lucky Star) concluded it, it's a complicated matter, I will not go any further.
