Xuanzang has met Saver/Buddha. Not on-screen, mind you, but she mentions meeting him multiple times throughout the events where she appears.

My personal favorite is the time she mentions she had to seal away her strongest technique because the one time she tried to use it Buddha got mad at her and said, "That's overkill, quit it!" Apparently he finds her pretty exasperating.

Considering her story basically amounts to "that naive idiot that has to get saved by Son Wukong/Goku every 2 minutes..."

It seems not even Buddha has the patience to deal with her.

Well, their is the saying "Even the Buddha get's mad after the third offense." The Buddha has his limits.

Sha Wujing represent hardwork, he always work hard but not have much presence

Zhu Bajie represent the base desire, he lazy, is a glutton and chase skirt all his journey

Sun Wukong represent the mind, premature early but later grown up. Always lead the way, discern the good and bad (see who is demon and who is human) and fight the demon

Xuanzang represent the emotion, even when the mind (Wukong) telling him that is the bad (demon) he still try to save them.
