To explain the image here, this is a concept sketch Konishi did that was revealed in Comptiq Magazine which shows that Warspite's rigging is able to change from seating form to a standing form in which she can stand up on if need be.
With all the fanart of Warspite on a wheelchair, I thought she might've been crippled; it would've made sense with the rudder issues she had. But with this being from Konishi himself, it looks like she can stand just fine.
She probably could stand on her own, but I imagined she would prefer to sit down. Headcanon, anyway. Should should be able to walk around fine without the rigging anyway.
Like, a cane actually meant to support weight, like for those that walk with a limp.
imo if she was using it like a cane she would lean on it more. (to help support herself) From how it's handled she looks more like she's gonna use it like a sword when knighting her royal subjects.

She can walk, but her left ankle healed badly from that injury at Jutland. So no running, and sometimes it'll act up on her again.

Though its likely her thigh is the section that probably is still messed up even after getting retrofits so she'd walk with a barely noticeable limp but can stand normally. I think she can still run (inb4 art depicting her a hiking her skirt to do so) in a straight line normally albeit not that far since iirc after Jutland when she badly limped back home, they had to rapidly squirm to fix her steering shit to some sort of degree but never fully but its unlikely she could keep on limping when sailing straight after the whole engine replacement during said retrofit though when she starts turning, its probably there she'll probably feel pain. I for one welcome Warspite's cross-leg and occasional face sitting artwork.
