I liked X and Y because the battles were pretty awesome. It even had a decent storyline and I was looking at the series as being the end of the anime on a good note.
But I suppose as long as that Miltank is kicking they're gonna keep milking it for all its worth.
This art and animation style seems pretty different, though - and with the structure of Sun and Moon they very well could take advantage of that to give the series a bit of a "reboot" without explicitly being a reboot.
For fucks sake; get rid of Satoshi already! No one is excited to see him again.
Also, is the team behind Digimon the movie animating this? I don't dislike the style, it's just very different.
Interesting you say that cause that was exactly what my sister said as well, about how Ash/Satoshi looks really similar to Tai from the original digimon.
Strange thing is that Lillie looks like her ingame portrait but Ash looks like he was drawn differently.
I kept thinking that this version of pokemon is some alternate universe, like the recent Jojo universes. Taking XY into account, I was going to say that Yveltal pretty much killed everyone(with what about him dying, everyone else dies with him) and then Xerneas brings everyone back. But I guess that would be too dark.
