Actually, the place where the normal magazine get inserted are where the bullet casing ejected out. It was made such that you can put in an empty magazine to catch the casings.

Looking at the description of the AR57, that "normal magazine well" isn't what it looks like. That is actually the ejection port. You can even put a special "empty magazine" (basically a sock) attachment there to collect spent casing.
Sometimes I consider getting an AR-57 for shits and giggles, and this picture makes a very convincing argument to me as an Akizuki fan. Well now I know why they're slapping shipgirls on Lawson. This stuff sells.

Because the AR-57 is really just an upper on a regular M16/AR-15 lower. Advantage of the upper vs a PS90 is that it is much cheaper ($500-700 vs $1100-1500) and you can switch to higher powered ammunition just by pulling the pins and swapping uppers. In other words purely economical. Plus there are some scrublords that don't like thumbhole or bullpup stocks.

You don't even know... I grow closer to dropping the cash on a PS90 every day. The only thing stopping me are all the horror stories on reloading the cartridge and fear that one day FN will just stop producing the brass altogether. It's a 100% proprietary cartridge so you can't fireform it from other brass cases. There is a a OD green PS90-chan sitting in the shop calling to me for only 1050. Playing Ghost in the Shell FA isn't helping my resistance.
EDIT: You know what? P90s are actually not that complex. All I would need to buy is the stock. I may just try my hand at machining my own...
