Before translation, I thought this was going to be a "Fubuki-class Destroyer, Fubuki-class Destroyer, Fubuki-class Destroyer, ... and Murakumo" gag.

... You know that Murakumo is a Fubuki-class, too, right? They just get formed up into their DesDivs of 3/4 ships, each, so Fubuki's clique was DesDiv 11, while Murakumo led DesDiv 12. (Murakumo is the 5th Fubuki, and she led the 6th, 7th, and 8th Fubukis, all of which are unimplemented.)

(For that matter, the Ayanami sub-class, including Akebono and the 7th DesDiv, and the Akatsuki sub-class of the 6th DesDiv, are Fubukis. All of the starters, in fact, are Fubukis, with the exception of Samidare, who is a Shiratsuyu.)

That's the joke XD. Murakumo is a Fubuki-class but she's illustrated differently from the rest of them.

I think that gag has been done often enough though. I can easily remember it happening in the Fubuki Ganbarimasu 4koma as well as in one of ko ru ri's doujins.

Ah, well, that's the first time I've ever heard of this as a joke. Since it isn't on Danbooru, I haven't kept up with Fubuki Ganbarimasu, and I haven't read any ko ru ri doujins...

I've seen it here on Danbooru, even amonsts Ecchi and hentai art as well on here. We must be looking at different pictures cause I've definitely seen the gag on comics here as well.
